So, here we are—officially in the prep stages for Sophie’s travels!

Sophie has already been to Dutch’s Engineering to have her "backside covered" (rear tray). That has now been removed and sent off for powder coating. When she returns, it’s straight off to ARB for a nose job (bull bar) to strengthen her facial features.

After that, it's a quick trip back to Ford for the dashcam fitting and to sort out the rego. Then? Then she’s finally my baby.

The maiden voyage will be a run to Brisbane to clock up the suggested 1,500kms of engine break-in time. Once that’s done, we are ready to tow Sammi (the MDC Forte9+). But first, we’ll swing back by Dutch’s for Sophie’s backpack (canopy) fitting.
